about the name

Studio Bliss is a name born from nostalgia and love of family. My grandparents lived on Bliss Road, right around the corner from my small studio, in a cozy house filled with six kids and many acres to explore. This home still stands and echoes of my mom and her siblings, and later mine, my brother's and our cousin's childhood play can be felt inside. I miss walking through the fields and woods with my grandfather on sunny days too perfect to spend in school. He always made those {sick} days so fun and I'm sure I learned more from him than I ever missed in school! I remember my grandpa whistling and the smell of sawdust as he worked in his basement wood shop. With the skills to give any Master Carpenter a run for his money, my grandpa would construct cribs for our baby dolls while my grandma would sew the sheets and blankets for our baby beds with such perfection I was sure no one could ever sew better than she did. And no one ever has.
